Life Membership for Veterans with Spinal Cord Injury or Disease

Life Membership Application

Any individual who meets the following criteria is eligible to join Paralyzed Veterans of America:

A citizen of the United States.

A veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces whose discharge was other than dishonorable.

An individual who has suffered a spinal cord injury as a result of trauma or disease, which results in paralysis of more than one limb. The injury or disease may or may not be service-connected.

Associate Member Application

Associate membership welcomes members of the Kentucky & Indiana disabled community to partner with KIPVA for fellowship and low/no-cost adaptive sports and recreation opportunities.


Associate members may participate in open events and sports and recreation opportunities and are encouraged to support KIPVA’s mission through volunteerism and program participation. Associate membership includes an annual subscription to The OUTREACH newsletter.

Jennifer Zilisch


Jennifer was paralyzed in an accident in 2012. Soon after, friends introduced her to KIPVA member Hack Albertson, who told her everything was going to be fine. He was right. Hack invited Jenny to go hunting with the Chapter.  


Through KIPVA, Jennifer has been turkey hunting, deer hunting, hand-cycling, fishing and many other activities. More importantly, she has found a group of friends that are able to offer support and encouragement. Her energy and upbeat spirit are a wonderful addition to each and every event.
